Southwest plane lands at the wrong airport

Southwest departing from Chicago landed at Taney County airport and pilot announced “Welcome to Branson”. The plane was bound for Branson, Missouri about seven miles away. Taney County airport’s runway is only about half the length of Branson’s runaway. Which meant the pilot had to brake hard after landing. The plane stopped about 300 feet from the end of the runway.

Report is unclear as to why this error has occured and investigation is under way. Meanwhile, the passangers of the Southwest flight has been bused to Branson airport.
